MISSION

The Military Police Regimental Association Rhode Island Chapter (MPRA-RI) is pleased to announce the CSM Edward McConnell Scholarship application period for 2025. This scholarship is typically offered annually on behalf of the MPRA-RI. It is available to MPRA-RI members and their families and members of the Rhode Island National Guard (RING).

This year we are proud to offer up to five (5) scholarships totaling $5,000.00. Scholarships offered this year are as follows:
• No less than one (1) two thousand five hundred dollar ($2,500) scholarships but no more than Five (5) one thousand dollar ($1,000.00)
• The number and amount of scholarships awarded will be based on the number of applications received, not to exceed the monetary amount listed above.

ELIGIBILITY

​

• Scholarships are available to members of MPRA-RI (includes MPRA-RI auxiliary members) and select family members (spouses, children, adopted/step-children, grandchildren).

APPLICATION PROCESS

​

The scholarship application period opens July 25, 2025, and will close September 31, 2025 (Applications received after the close date will not be considered).

APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS

​

Applications will then go in front of the CSM Edward McConnell Scholarship Committee. The committee reviews each application and decides on the winners. 

​

AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarships will be awarded at a time and place to be announced sometime between October 10,.2025 and February 20, 2026.
